Finally in Adelaide!

We know we are back in a big city - traffic, traffic lights, the constant hum and buzz of vehicles, the screech of brakes and sirens.....BUT we are in a quiet little oasis amongst all this - the tourist park we are in is on a creek next to a conservation park - we are surrounded by trees and birds! Very nice! :)

Oh, I forgot the ducks! One has been hanging around the MH and has something to say each time we go outside - probably expects a feed! I wandered over to the laundry to retrieve the washing and it followed me - when I came out of the laundry there were a cast of thousands waiting outside for me - they all waddled back to the MH with me! Felt like the Pied Piper!  Funny sight!

As Christies Beach is one of Adelaide's southern beaches it didn't take long to nosey up the coast this morning, stopping at Brighton for a walk out onto the Jetty and to enjoy their welcoming main street full of appealing cafes and restaurants and - very popular haunts obviously as they were very busy for a Thursday morning.

Checked out the huge Shopping Mall in Marion this afternoon - nothing's changed! - all the same businesses as the Malls back home - could have been in Brisbane or the Gold Coast! lol

We have done 6,000kms in the MH and she has to have a service in the morning, hence the reason for staying right in the city tonight. Back out beside the beach tomorrow afternoon, and from there we can "tram it" into the Adelaide CBD to explore this lovely "City of Churches"!

"Some sort of thing on the Jetty" - quoting Pete! lol

The Jetty Cafe - must do a great coffee because it was packed!
Main street of Brighton - great appeal and very popular - cafe's and restaurants and quirky shops along the little strip!

Our backyard :)
Behind the covered pool there is a double covered tennis court and gym
Wouldn't know we were in the centre of a city!
How striking is the Sturt's Desert Pea! Beautiful gardens and trees in the tourist park!
