Back to the big smoke for a few days!

Three hours road tripping today brought us to Melbourne's doorstep!

A most enjoyable and scenic drive through lovely countryside and towns from the Grampians - Ararat, Beaufort, Ballarat, Bacchus Marsh to the outer suburbs of Melbourne and the "very nice and handy to all" Tourist Park.

A great bonus - we met up with our good friends Nev and Carol from Queensland who are also road tripping!

Heading out of Ararat "the pregnant lady", as the local call her, loomed before us-
we saw her from afar from the Boroka Lookout in the Grampians.
Her real name is Mt Langi Ghiran- 922m

Good to see all the windfarms adorning the beautiful hills around Ballarat

A great afternoon and evening with Nev and Carol.
Lots of "on the road" story swapping!
Thanks for the delicious baked dinner!
A great time - as always! :)
Off to explore Melbourne CBD today! Great there is a bus at our doorstep to whip us in there! Easy! :)
