Kona comes alive!

Day 17 and 18 Hawaii, Kona  Sun 02- Mon 03/10/2011

Ironman Week is here - the World Championships takes the stage on Saturday 8th!
Kona is readying and is putting out the props getting dressed in its finery for the big event! The town is  abuzz!!!

What I observed on my walk to and from the pool today.............

Drink stations are up along Alii Drive for athletes on their training runs
Lava Java is overflowing with athletes and bikes!

The expo sites are being erected

The main Expo site beginning  to take shape

Sponsors signs beginning to fly and stand proud around town
The swim course is busy now right throughout the day with athletes training on the course

We have been really enjoying beautiful Kona town .................
