Royal Wedding fever! and Perfect Days!
Royal Wedding fever on the Dawn today - Friday! Red, White and Blue adorn the ship with balloons and flags waving and bobbing everywhere. The big screen in the Atrium from 6am this morning put up the BBC coverage of the young royals’ big day! There is a Wedding lunch buffet on and then this afternoon a High Tea in honour of the special occasion. Love the cruise staff with their bobby helmets on! The wedding spirit is alive and well in the middle of the Atlantic!!!
What glorious weather here in the middle of the Atlantic - beautiful blue ocean surrounded us on every side to the horizon as we enjoyed the amazing last two days of perfect weather. The deck chairs and the spa were the perfect way to go!!!! Sun, reading, dozing were the medicine today!
Great entertainment! A Bollywood Show with all the Las Vegas razzle dazzle! and more fabulous music and song with Jose and Patti - what fabulous musicians and singers this husband and wife team are - we looked forward to listening to them every night!
The Norwegian Dawn is finishing its 5 month winter season in the Caribbean after this cruise and goes into dry dock to be refurbished before it begins it summer cruises to Alaska, so the mood and atmosphere on the ship is very “high energy” with the staff and crew very excited about their 3 week holiday on land!
We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise in the eastern Caribbean and are just about entertained and “fooded” out! We’ll waddle off here tomorrow having been looked after amazingly for the last 9 days! Thanks Norwegian Cruise Line - what a wonderful holiday!!!
