Hawaii 2013....another adventure begins!

We are off again!

Our 2013 Hawaii adventure has begun! So looking forward to it after an exciting, very busy and challenging 12 months.

First stop was Sydney to see family - so nice to catch up with them. Jac was able to join us so was even better!

We met the newest addition to the family - young Harry - congrats to new grandparents Ken and Julie, and to proud mum and dad, Paul and Kylie. He’s a beauty! Handsome and content!

We always love exploring the beautiful Sydney. We lunched at Doyle’s, Watson’s Bay - a celebration with Julie for her birthday, and enjoyed the scenic view from the historical, stunning and notorious “Gap”.

Since 1870 Inner South Head and the Gap Bluff have played a key role in the defense of Sydney. In 1982 Gap Bluff and the northern end of South Head were added to Sydney Harbour National Park, preserving it for future generations to enjoy. It has always been a popular tourist destination and once a tram transportedIt sightseers to the location.

The carved sandstone from the area forms impressive columns on the flight of steps

Some historic trivia - in 1960 Alfred Hitchcock was in Sydney to promote his new film Psycho and when he visited the Gap he insisted on perching on the railing to have his picture taken.

Today the Gap it is part of picturesque Coastal Walk - a stunning way to enjoy the spectacular views of the Sydney coastline and the iconic city. Worth a visit and a walk when visiting Sydney!

What a great couple of days before we winged our way to the island paradise of Hawaii. Destination Kona on the Big island.

It was our quickest trip to Hawaii yet - we were both so exhausted we were asleep in as the plane took off and we woke up this morning to the best sight! - the Hawaiian Islands lying dramatically on the silver sea beneath the blanket of fluffy white clouds. Perfect!

Winging our way!

Great view on awakening!

Kona never changes! That’s why we love coming here - it’s peaceful, relaxing and it
encompasses the Hawaiian spirit.  History and culture abounds, as does beauty.

Enjoy it all with us!

Very happy we have a resident Kitty Kat - and so cute too!!!

What a little sweetie - friends straight away! :)
