Luke's day at the office didn't go to plan but that's Ironman, especially here in Hawaii when you never know what is going to be thrown at you on the day - the conditions are never ever the same!
He had a great swim and an awesome ride - leading for the first half of the race out to Hawi. He put himself out there and set the pace in really brutal conditions - the wind challenged them the whole ride - headwinds all the way! Unfortunately the heat caught up with him on the run where he was battling it out in the top 10. He fought and crossed the line in 24th position. We are so proud of him - he is an amazing athlete! A guysy and determined race today Luke!
