Athletes are pounding the Kona pavements, flying along the Queen K through the lava fields, and taking up the challenge of the swells in Kailua Bay in preparation for the big event! Interest in who is going to take the men's and women's crown in 2012 is on everyones mind and lips.
We are lucky that we have many fine triathletes lining up to represent Australia in this gruelling event .
Jason Bennet, host of "ESPN's "Aussies Abroad", has been putting together a program that delves into what it is like being an Aussie professional triathlete competing in this epic event. The program will be aired in Australia on November 7th.
We enjoyed accompanying Luke today while he was interviewed by Jason for the program.
