Feeling at home in historic Kona

We enjoyed a walk into town this morning, followed by a swim at the Kona Aquatic Centre. The water was beautiful and we both had our own lane - won't be like that shortly as the triathletes pour into town to get ready for the "big dance"!

As we wandered home we did a few detours. We went into Bike Works to do a job for Luke. They were battening down for the big  Ironman weeks coming up - they already had a piled tray of bike jobs that had been booked! Liked the SOAS kits on display! Ladies you all need this great looking tri,  running and cycling gear made specifically for ladies - very classy and comfortable! Lots of triathletes are choosing the great kits and getting admiring comments when they race, but you don't have to be a triathlete to enjoy these great looking and comfy kits! - run and cycle in style!   Go to www.soasracing.com and have a look at the terrific range. Aussie ladies, Amanda will look after you! On the website go to the Apparel and the Accessories drop downs and click on the Australia Asia-Pacific links to view the merchandise and to put in your orders.  "SOAS Racing Australia" on Facebook keeps you updated on SOAS Australia.

We then enjoyed browsing in a new art gallery - very nice paintings Cindy Coats! Might have to take one home !!!

We also had a closer look at the historic church that is a historic landmark in the main street - Moku'aikaua Church, Hawaii's first Christian Church.

The local markets were open today and it is always a great place to get the freshest fruit and veges!
5 big Papaya and 3 huge Avocados for $4! Bargain!

We both churned out a few laps today - the water was amazing,
especially after our 3k walk!
Gearing up for the 3 weeks onslaught before October 13th!
SOAS ladies gear - nice!

Love Cindy's work.

Lava rock and coral has been extensively in the church's  structures, as has Ohia timbers and Koa wood.

Fruit and vege shopping at the local markets in the main street
Two more Mustangs!!! lol  They are very popular! Tops up today!!! Rain? Unfortunately yes - the 4pm downpour hit today! Cools it down but it is going to be very humid tomorrow!

Nice blue!
