Yamba to Port Macquarie

Headed to Port Macquarie via Coffs Harbour.

Coffs Harbour is home to the iconic Big Banana and is Pete's hometown. A beautiful town nestled amongst the banana plantation clad hills.

Port Macquarie is a lovely part of the mid-north coast NSW but bitter/ sweet  regarding the weather! The much needed rain arrived but as TP said - it put a "damper" on our sightseeing and Port - renowned as having "the best climate" on the eastern seaboard - we didn't see at her best unfortunately. However the rain didn't dampen our enthusiasm and fun! Best of all it was Tom's birthday - celebrations!

Port, as it is affectionately known by locals, has a colourful history beginning as a penal settlement.
For the triathon family Port is home to Ironman Australia and 70.3 Ironman :)
