More walking, wine and golf on the Mornington Peninsula - McCrae, Dromana, Arthurs Seat, Seaward Gardens, Paringa Estate at Red Hill, moonah Links, The Dunes Golf Links and Eagle Ridge Gold Course!

We drove up to Arthurs Seat this morning along the foreshore via McCrae and Dromana. Awesome view over the Bay as we ascended the dominating Peninsula icon.  We did our 2km walk at the summit in the lovely Seawinds Gardens.

The beach and esplanade at Dromana
The Bay looked like a glass mirror

Stunning views towards Portsea!
Lt John Murray named the lookout after a mountain near Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1802
Rosebud Pier reaches out into the Bay

Looking towards Mt Martha, Mornington and Frankston

Glad they kept this area as a State Park for all to enjoy and appreciate!

Good walking trails in the Park

How many greens are there in Nature?

After our energetic walk we needed a bit of a refreshment so we felt another winery visit was in order, so we headed off to the award winning  Paringa Estate at Red Hill. Very nice!  We savoured their Pinot Gris; Viognier; Chardonnay; Pinot Noir and Shiraz.  No wonder all varieties have won awards!

The owner winemaker - Lindsay McCall (an ex school teacher) - according to James Halliday has an "absolutely exceptional gift for winemaking" and his wines are of "the highest quality with a distinguished pedigree". He awarded the winery "Winery of the Year" in 2007.  Their 2009 Estate Pinot Noir which we tasted won the "Champion Pinot Noir Trophy - 5 Nations Wine Challenge"- most enjoyable! :)

One of the wineries trademarks - the roaming geese

Stunning scene

The Cellar Door and Restaurant

The vines important companions - the beautiful roses
Any mould on the roses signals alarm bells!
Peter felt more of the great golf courses /links that populate the Mornington Peninsula needed inspecting so we visited Moonah Links; The Dunes Golf Links and our next door neighbour and backyard for the week, Eagle Ridge Golf Course. Pete's already planning his week of golf when we come to Ironman Melbourne next year!  Golfer's heaven here with so many lovely courses!

Known for its heavily featured layout(waterfalls, ornamental lakes) and superb hospitality
