From start to finish! Frankston to St Kilda

Did a Marathon today - in distance and in time! We did the IM Melbourne 42km run course from Frankston to St Kilda. We didn't run it though - we caught a bus, a train and a tram and it took us 2hrs 15mins! - perhaps it might have been better if we had run! lol

We were down at the swim start bright and early for Pete to have a swim session on the course with the three athletes he is coaching for Sunday's event - Alice, Peter and Caroline. It was a bit brisk and windy as dawn broke but it settled into a beautiful fine, sunny morning. We also caught up briefly with Luke who had come from St Kilda to Frankston on a training ride - he had to be at the swim start for a media appointment.

With the training session completed we used the Public Transport to get from Frankston - the start of the race, to St Kilda where the Ironman race finishes. The Expo and the Events Headquarters are also at St Kilda.

At the start line and the finish line there is already a lot of action as the big Ironman Melbourne event takes shape!
