The hot weather struck today!
But, being very committed we did our two sessions at the gym - early morning and late afternoon. Two more good sessions and we survived!
We enjoyed the morning in the garden court yard of our Condo - nice to have a private outdoor retreat. Our mongoose visits every morning for its drink of water - he's so quick I can't catch him with the camera! The challenge - to get a pic of him! or her!
Pete got his Kona haircut today, so we are both ready for the hot, humid weather this beautiful island brings over the next month.
Pete was water boy again for Luke in his run session at the Energy Lab this afternoon. It's the renowned section of the IM run which is like a cauldron for the athletes! So much so that come race day they have a shower area that the athletes can run through to cool off.
Ended the day perfectly with a BBQ dinner at our Alii Lani condo with Luke, Amanda and Linsey. BBQ No 2 on the island and both nights it rained! We had to forgo dining in the garden courtyard and dine inside. Great BBQ steak - thanks Pete! Great salad, and guacamole - thanks Amanda and Linsey!
