What a lovely city to complete our road trip! Three enjoyable days, with tour guide Jac, taking in the sights and sounds of beautiful Brisbane!

THE BOGGO ROAD MARKETS |
Held in the surrounding grounds of the of the old Boggo Road Gaol.
The area now houses an urban development and the heritage listed gaol has been preserved and adds character to this modern city area.
The gaol has an interesting history........
Great food stalls with interesting dishes to try.........................
The rain caught up with us at Mt Coot-tha but we still got a great view of Brisbane City and surrounds.....

BRISBANE CITY TOUR
We had a great day in the CBD. Caught the City Cat from New Farm into Southbank and then walked into the city centre via Southbank, the Botanical Gardens and the Queen Street Mall. Thanks Jac for the great tour and day! Most enjoyable!

The parklands consist of a mixture of rainforest, water, grassed areas and plazas as well as features such as the riverfront promenade, the Streets Beach, the Grand Arbour, the Courier Mail Piazza, the Nepal Peace Pagoda, the Wheel of Brisbane, restaurants, shops and fountains.
Stroll this lovely area.....................what a bonus in the middle of a city!

So our 2 month, three states, 8,000 k road trip adventure comes to an end. Thanks Tom and Betty for the great company, fun and adventures as we explored eastern Australia! A fantastic journey!
