Another beautiful day in Kona!
Our body clocks have almost adjusted and we are waking up on Hawaiian time not Australian time. Our 10.30am wake-ups are now back to 8.30am.
We headed to the pool and enjoyed our k's - a good start to the day. The rest of the day we spent relaxing at the Kona Canoe Club, Kope Lani and the Kona Inn - helped us cope with the heat and humidity :)

A lovely surprise this morning, this beautiful hibiscus blossomed outside our unit - stunning! |

Surf was up today.
The King Kamehameha Hotel is readying to host the 2013 Ironman. |

Busy, busy! Everything is being spruced up around town - nearly Ironman time! |
Loved watching this competitor check out the swim course! |
He's a fast dog paddler!
Huggo's and the Royal Kona Resort are ready and waiting for Ironman! |

Very happy with his swim today! |
Kia had its Grand Opening on "Hot Corner" - lots of changes at this Ironman hot spot! |
A Plymouth - rather snazzy! It takes pride of place on the corner. |
Another snazzy vehicle buzzing around town! |
All the usual characters were hanging around town......................
A new addition in town "Just Ukes" - the Ukulele is synonymous with Hawaiian music and culture.
A cool off at the Kona Canoe Club.
Great view.........and a great place to watch the activities in the bay........... |
Great Margaritas - quenches the thirst! |
Wow! Surfing in an outrigger canoe - great photographs are displayed in the Club. |
The Body Glove heads out for its popular Dinner and Sunset Cruise |
Surfs up! We had front row seats at the Canoe Club |
The body boarders head out |
Next, a Kona coffee at our favourite Cafe - Kopi Lani |
We were being watched! |
Settling in at the Kona Inn to enjoy another sunset.
Bonus - the body boarders were still out mastering the waves
and the outrigger canoe crews were impressing us with their speedy training runs |
