Day 22 and 3 Hawaii, Kona Fri 07 - Sat 08/10/2011
What a couple of days! How proud are we! Luke had a mighty race today and finished in the Top 10 at the World championships! He worked hard and determinedly all day - fantastic race! Thanks to all the family, friends and supporters who follow Luke - we know how much Luke appreciates you and he races for you!
It was great day for the Aussies with 3 in the Top 10 - the ever brilliant Craig Alexander winning in a new course record - much deserved - such an amazing athlete, role model and ambassador for the sport! ;Peter Jacobs 2nd with the fastest marathon of the day! ; and Luke in 9th place with a fantastic swim and bike. Great job by all on such a tough course on a tough day!
We had a great day of watching and cheering all the athletes - such a feat to make it to World Championships and then to take up the challenge of the most gruelling course in the world! Admire you all! Loved following and cheering Linsey, Kate and Courtney - great athletes and made the day even more special for us!
