Serendipity week in Kona.....and is there an Ironman on here?

 Another lovely week in Kona! Lots of swimming; walking; riding our bikes; snorkelling; reading; napping; relaxing on the lanai; strolling through towns - always some interesting and entertaining sights to see; coffeeing and watching the world go by; and enjoying the hype that is hitting town as the triathletes roll in. Think there might be an Ironman event on soon!? :)

Luke arrived this week. Great to catch up over lunch and a few dinners! Pete's loving being the support crew!

These 3 belong to the artist Cindy Coates - they are waiting patiently outside her gallery for her.
Last year we acquired one her art works that feature her dogs so was good to meet them in person.

Sunday is fun- day for the local families at the Pier

Three weeks here and our first Scandinavian shaved ice.......and it was thirst-quenching!

Scooters.....they are everywhere!.....by far the most popular form of transport on the island,
besides the BIG  4x4 TRUCKS :)

We've been enjoying the pineapples from the local market - golden, juicy and sweet! Yum!
