Growing up in Sydney I remember the excitement about a day at the Taronga Park Zoo because not only were we going to enjoy all the amazing animals but we got to ride on the Harbour ferries! A real treat and novelty!
So I was really excited when Julie suggested we catch the ferry over to Mosman Bay - I wasn't disappointed - the ferry ride still held the same excitement for me!; walk from there through the Cremorne Reserve which hugs the waterfront, and then catch the ferry back to Circular Quay from the Hay Street Wharf in Neutral Bay.
Definitely a "must do" outing if you are sightseeing in Sydney! Besides the magnificent views, the exercise is great! Fantastic to see that parts of the Harbour foreshores are dedicated to public parks and reserves for all to enjoy!
We topped off a fantastic day with a visit to The Rocks for lunch and a stroll through the weekend markets and a reminder of Sydney's early history. Visiting the historic Rocks is another great days adventure to understand this intriguing city.
Come ride the ferry and walk the walk!...........
