Goodbye beautiful USA!

Saturday 04/06/2011 Bend to Los Angeles 

A glorious day weather wise - not a cloud in the blue, blue sky and all the mountains standing majestic sentinels! Awesome! Glad we got to see Bend in its full splendor before we hopped on that 7.30am plane bound for Portland, and then onto LA and home to Brisbane on the midnight V-Australia flight. Thanks Betty and Tom for delivering us so early to the airport, and for your fabulous hospitality and friendship!

Nature’s wonderland opened before us, with a birds eye view from the planes of the mountains and countryside as we went to Portland and onto LA.

Arriving at midday in LA gave us a chance for our last explore and adventure! We hopped on the free LAX Shutte (“G” - Greenline) which delivered us to the city Metro Greenline. $6 gets you a Metro ticket for the day (once you work out how to use the machine!) - an easy, economical and great way to explore and get around this big city. So off we went to Hollywood to walk the streets of the stars! We had a great time soaking up the fun mood and atmosphere of this crazy suburb! The pics tell the story!
